I have a Level 3 Animal Management qualification from Merrist Wood College, where I spent three years studying everything from behaviour and enrichment to hands-on animal care.

I’ve also previously worked in a Ashworth Vets and Lynchford Aquatics, and am experienced in giving medication, assisting with basic training, cleaning out bedding and hutches, and keeping pets calm, safe and settled in their normal routines.

At home I’ve grown up with dogs, now living with Benny, a very cheeky beagle-cocker spaniel, and Maisie, an ex-breeding spaniel we rescued from Many Tears. It’s been a joyful challenge to help her acclimatise to domestic life, growing her confidence so much so she demands snuggles on the sofa! 

I’ve also previously owned two rabbits, Miffy and Rupert, and been around cats my whole life, as well as caring for an incredible range of animals at college – from frogs and snakes to lizards and guinea pigs. I even taught one of the rats to touch a target through click-and-target training!

Whilst I adore and respect all animals (apart from spindly spiders), my particular interests are in aquatic life, rescue centres and veterinary care.
